THE ART TEACHER !
I watched the handsome Shiraz Hussein, the Visual Design expert making silent waves in the corner of the Mess hall with his small projections on the screen followed by hands on training given in theme-based postcard painting.
Ronit Chakraborty (in black T-shirt) was otherwise the only known name amongst the OTs in design (His Anubhuti design is going to stay for long ). In the pic, you can see him relishing clean colour designs sprouting in various corners of the paper.
Shiraz did his job in elan, with elegance but without airs of an accomplished designer. About 10 OTs and some little children worked on their postcards besotted by the confidence instilled by the young man. Watching him I felt happier. Here was a man much younger to me, with more designs to inspire. At the end of the session, the OTs had brought out remarkable saturation of colours on the little spaces allotted to them !
My graphic tribute to him was given then and there.
